Newsletter # 2
Newsletter # 1
As the author, I enjoyed writing my first novel, Legacy of War, although it took ten years from the time the idea was planted in my mind in 2009. Occasionally I will be sending a newsletter on this action-adventure novel.
I promise, your email address goes no further than me and I will not sell or provide others your information. This is my opportunity to interact with readers everywhere to discuss the story involving my main character, psychologist John Moore, and even on occasion send you a small gift for your readership. However, if you don't want to be part of my mailing list, just tell me and I will delete your name and email address. I respect your privacy.
I'm excited to announce that I am writing the sequel to the Legacy of War with already 70 pages completed. As usual, I have become intertwined with my characters. They often take off on their own forcing me to reconsider original timelines and subplots. Characters are like a bunch of cats: very difficult to control or herd in. The title is pending at this time.
This has become the John Moore mystery series, because readers want more. Particularly they want to know what happens to Moore after his adventure in modern-day Vietnam, especially with his past involvement with Sally Catton and his friendship with Hieu, the Vietnamese National Police Agent. These characters will be important in the second book as long as they work with me (The cats' analogy). Moore will remain as my honest hero, maintaining his ethics and morals as he struggles over his past war demons and confronts new mysteries. He will stay a regular guy, no superman, as he deals with real life and its dangerous complexities.
In future newsletters, I will explain how the first book developed. So join me in having fun reading and discovering what makes John Moore tick.
And if you do read the book (ebook or Print) please review it on the various websites where the novel is found such as Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Goodreads.com. And you may be honest. Writers need customers' reviews.
Best always,
Ed Marohn
